Welcome to the first Fishbowl podcast of 2008! Joining us for a cup of tea, a chat and a few songs on today’s show are James and Brendan from Peanut Albinos, who will be headlining the next Live Fishbowl at Trinity Arts Centre, Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 23rd Feb.

This month, we have Mike’s “other” band Acoustic Soup in the studio, playing a few songs and having a chat. The band, consisting of Mike (guitar & vocals), Arthur O’Hara (mandolin & vocals), Nils O’Hara (bass) & Carl Warner (percussion) will be playing at the next live Fishbowl (the first one of 2008!), at Morello in Matfield, Kent, on Sunday 13th January, starting at about 7pm.

Also on the bill will be Jake Boyle, who last played the Fishbowl in Summer 2006. The first hour of the evening will be an “open mic” slot for anyone who wants to come along and play a couple of original songs. Entry is free and the food there is FAB so come along!

Yesterday, Daren and I met up with New York duo Pete & J, who are over in the UK on tour to promote their new album “Dressed for Conversation”. We had a chat with them before the soundcheck for their gig at the Trinity Arts Centre in Tunbridge Wells, and they even got their guitars out and played a couple of songs for us! What a decent pair of chaps!
