How to Display Photos at a Party

by Mike on February 5, 2011

If you are wondering how to display photos at a party to best effect, there are many display options you can consider, depending on the occasion.

If you are having a formal affair such as an anniversary or wedding reception, you can include photos of the guests of honor as part of your decor. These can be blown up to poster size, mounted on a wooden background or frame and hung in strategic locations around the room for all to see. The more attractive the display, the better for formal settings. Another idea would be to choose one wall and hang up smaller framed photos in a lovely display pattern. These photos could be recent ones of family and friends or they could be photos of your loved ones during different occasions in the past leading up to the special event.

There are dozens of unique and innovative ways of displaying photos during a party or other special occasion. If you have a party committee planning the event, you can seek ideas to incorporate these photos into your decorations. When planning your displays, you will have to take into consideration the theme of your party, who the party is for, type of guests you have invited and the party location. For casual events such as birthday parties, graduations and holiday gatherings, you can be extremely creative in your displays such as placing photos on balloon decorations or hanging from streamers. You can also purchase tri-fold photo display boards for your photos and set these on tables scattered around the room for guests to enjoy. Another idea would be to create a beautiful collage using photos from all stages of a person’s life and displaying it on a bulletin board in the main party room for all to see.

There are no set rules for how to display photos at a party; you are free to be as original and creative as you desire. You should try to make your photo display tasteful and suitable to the occasion so as not to embarrass anyone. Otherwise, have fun and express your artistic talents to the full.
