- Rash guard. This swimwear is popular for surfers and other water sports enthusiast. It is actually a type of athletic shirt and is often used for extreme summer temperatures. When it is too hot for a wet suit, the rash guard is the alternative.
- Wet suit. Just like a rash guard, this swimwear is often worn by those who participate in water sports. This swimwear is especially designed to help keep the body warm by reducing heat transfer from the human body to the water. Different types of wet suit are also made for different temperature.
